Dr. Tim Kovalenko | |
Tim Kovalenko is a member of the “Labor Market Processes and Institutions” research department at the Institute for Employment Research. He studied economics at Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Konstanz. From 2017 to 2024, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Labor and Regional Economics at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. From 2023 to 2024, he also worked at the Deutsche Bundesbank. He received his PhD in 2023 with a thesis entitled “Essays on the Origin and Propagation of Shocks in the Labor Market”. His research interests broadly cover the intersection of labor and macroeconomics. Specifically, he studies labor market responses to shocks, the role of establishment size distribution in the labor market, labor market imperfections, and industrial relations. |
