| From 2010 to 2013 Karolin Hiesinger studied Social Sciences and Economics (B.A) at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and completed her M.Sc. course in Labour Market and Human Resources in 2015. She then worked at the Institute for empirical Sociology (IfeS). Since July 2016, she has been a researcher at IAB. In January 2024, she completed her PhD entitled “Essays on the Economics of Sickness Absence, Working Conditions and Health in the Labor Market” as part of the joint graduate programme of IAB and FAU (GradAB) at the University of Regensburg. She is currently working in the research department “Joblessness and Social Inclusion”. In her research, she focuses in particular on the integration of individuals with health impairments and severe disabilities into the labor market. | |
