Prof. Dr. Christoph Wunder

Christoph Wunder studied economics at the University of Bamberg, where he received a diploma in economics (Diplom Volkswirt) in 2003 and a doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in 2009. From 2003 to 2009, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Economics at the University of Bamberg (Chair of Prof. Dr. Johannes Schwarze). He joined the chair of Prof. Regina T. Riphahn, Ph.D. at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in April 2009. He was awarded prizes by the Universitätsbund Bamberg (2009) and the Society of Friends of DIW Berlin (2007 and 2008). He received the Joachim R. Frick Memorial Prize in 2014. His work was published in international journals, such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, European Journal of Political Economy, and European Sociological Review. Christoph Wunder is research fellow at the Labor and Socio-Economic Research Center (LASER), Nuremberg. Since 2013, Christoph Wunder is elected member of the Ausschuss für Sozialpolitik of the German Economic Association (Verein für Socialpolitik). In 2014, he earned his habilitation in economics and econometrics. Since April 2015 Christoph Wunder holds the chair for Econometrics at the University of Halle-Wittenberg.
